Get your HVAC service technician trained properly to set leads, sell maintenances and make your clients happy!
Getting the right training for your HVAC service technicians is important. Every lead lost costs your company real money in both sunk costs and lost revenue.
For the past 15 years I have been working with and training service technicians to get top results.
About Scott S. Bell
I started selling heating and air in home in 2001. In 2006 I was asked to take the role of a selling technician. The reason was that it was easier to buy “tune up leads” than it was to buy leads for marketed systems. I was trained by supposed trainers in ways to set leads. Long story shot it didn’t work. I used the knowledge from selling as well as psychological studies to build out a sales process for technicians.
Since 2007 I have been working with technicians to train them on what they can to to set leads. My process doesn’t use 1950s technology to force homeowners into buying.

My Experience
When I started in home sales in 2001, I was not very good. In fact I was the 10th worst salesperson on the planet. With the right work, my first year in HVAC sales netted me over 1mm in residential sales.
I spent time honing my skills, my talents and my capabilities. I read every book I could get my hands on about sales. I spent $100 a month on Audio books. This was YouTube and pre-podcasts. I worked on my process. I screwed up and was kicked out of tons of homes. I learned how to close deals that the kitchen table.
From 2006 to the present I have been on the search for the best training content in sales, psychology, decision making and even game theory to help salespeople and technicians be better at sales.
2002 – 2006
Design Consultant
For the first 4 years of sales, I performed in home sales. This was belly to belly selling at the kitchen table.
2006 – 2010
Senior Technician
Senior technicians or selling technicians get the best of both worlds. They get to repair equipment and if necessary sell new systems. For 4 years I worked on equipment and sold it. To sell as a technician you do need to know what does and doesn’t work to your advantage. I struggled at first because of the way I sold. Selling as a technician was easier over time. Being able to work on equipment as well as sell it made me better at helping clients pick the right choice.
2011 – 2018
Sales Training And Coaching
In the Summer of 2011 I was asked to take the role of a sales trainer and technician trainer full time. I have loved this role and have enjoyed working with technicians. The process I created has helped countless technicians craft conversations to aid homeowners to make better decisions.
2018 – Present
Sales Training & Business Coaching
The role of a sales trainer plus the benefit of having an MBA allowed me to work hand in hand with The Ownership and Management teams. I have also worked closely with some of the best Entrepreneur Coaches in the world training their content.
